Bio

Damien Leschevin de Prevoisin is a French art creator and an engineer. Fifty-fifty. He was born in the 80’s and educated in Paris.

You live and you learn. And so he did, graduating with an electrical engineering diploma from the ESME Sudria (Paris, France) and a Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology – Gatech (Atlanta, USA).

After obtaining his first diploma, he moved around the globe from Asia to Africa, via London and the USA; either for studies or work.

Two years in London. Working at IBI group “a multi-disciplinary international organization offering services in four areas of practice: Urban Land, Facilities, Transportation and Systems” as an ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) consultant. There he held a position of project coordinator within CENTRICO (TEMPO & EASYWAY) as a consultant for the French Motorway companies. He was also involved in various projects such as RouteMapper – Video + GPS application – or the development of the Operation Procedure Manual for the Main Control Centre of Saint Pancras International Station.

Two years in Africa. On November 1st, 2007 he started a one and a half year contract to work on the Gautrain Project - a railway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. He was working for Bouygues Construction, within the Bombela consortium. He was part of the Civil Engineering design interface team, and coordinated the interaction between the civil joint venture design packages and the other electrical, mechanical, maintenance and operation teams.

Wind of change: in your face! A the end of his contract, Damien was offered an expatriate position at Bouygues, but instead the Parisien Boy decided to take on a new challenge. Damien is working on a project of his own and will open in 2009 a concept store. Chop chop. It’ll be unexpected and unique, colorful, fun and exquisite. Hop, Hop. Concomitantly to his work, Damien Leschevin de Prévoisin is involved in the DejaVu Production Project, an association of creators who work together to create fresh art and promote their creations. He is actively involved as main artist and creator of the project. Currently his works focus on paintings of portraits or objects with unexpected (awkward) details.

Bang bang bad boy. Damien has been hired as a Sheriff and is managing a team of head (or bounty) hunters. The project imagined, created and managed by Damien is worth the detour. Load your cameras and meet you at the Head Hunter’s Corner.

Zif, Zaf. Another of his long time hobbies is fencing (sabre), which he started before teenage. He still continues to attend competitions when he finds the time, at a national/international level.
