Creation, from a cognitive stand point, is the action of putting together things that have been seen before in order to create something new. It is also the adaptation of a concept already existing and transposing to something new. So everything we create, it seems, we have already seen. Zif, zaf. Mesmerised. So is this all a big rearranged “déjà vu”?
DejaVu, that’s the name of the project. Production, that’s what we do. Everything we do has been exhibited in the past already many times, has been seen and appreciated by crowds, yet we try coming up with something different.
Let’s push thing forward. The DejaVu Project crew comes from various backgrounds, countries, has different opinions, ideas, contradictory ways of expressing themselves. So we mingle. We mix and see what comes out of it. Creations, skills, concepts, ideas.
In the end, only remains unexpected works. Proofs. Useless originalities and satisfaction. This project is my baby tree. I thought of it, planted it, I feed it, I prune it and sometimes I sit in front of it. And I gaze.
